Need Useful Pants in Ohio from
Fashion, not Work Pants
I haven't had pants that sit this low since I was in high school in the 1970's! I had an old pair of convertible pants that sat at my waist and had about 2 inches of elastic in the back to keep them snug around my waist and deep pockets for cell phones and tools. I loved those pants but they wore out. I wish now I had bought a half dozen. These are fashion pants, not work pants.

Did not work - thigh too tite
These fit in the waist-hip areas, but at the zipper areas -- too tight. Also too long for me (I'm 5/4") So I had to return it.

I like these pants. The only reason I did not give a 5 star rating is because the bottom of the legs are somewhat wider than I like. Not a issue with the pants just my not preference

Odd fit
I wanted to love these for hiking. Unfortunately the fit was way off. I bought the same size
(8P) as I had for the new high rise guide pant, which I love. These Ampario pants were so low cut that I couldn’t even zip them. And, even had I been able to zip them they would have been really uncomfortable to sit in, let alone to hike in. If you like really low cut pants, these may work for you, but I would guess you might need to get a larger than normal size.

Great pair of pants
I have 3 pairs of these pants. The fit is perfect for me. I’m 5’3” and 125 ish lbs. I wear most every day. I don’t know if the bug repellency works but I didn’t buy them for that purpose.

Good but petite size short.
Perfect except petite size is a bit long for me. I am 5’1”. Could be about an inch or two shorter. Still will work but a little baggy around ankles.

Petite sizes iportant!!
I bought these pants in size 12 petite. They fit perfectly and are very comfortable and protect me from ticks. It is so important to be able to buy zipoff pants which are actually the right length.Thank you for having the petite sizes and please add that to more of your clothes.

Great fit for short torso.
I got a size 6 petite, I measure at 126lbs, 28 waist, 35 hips, rectangle body shape. These pants do ride below the belly button but I have a short torso and prefer the lower rise, no high waist mom jeans style here. The thigh area fit well, with room to move and sit, none of that tight thigh issue! Top thigh measure at 22" around. Pants overall very comfortable (loose style), with good length and rise.

Great for backpacking
I'm 5'3, 111 pounds. The petite length is perfect for me. Size 6 is roomy but with the drawstring that's not a problem at all. I wore these pants backpacking for 8 days and they were amazing. It was a pretty wet trip and the pants dry incredibly fast. The capri option came in handy for crossing small streams and wading in lakes to fill my water bottles. The pockets are a little hard to access with a hip belt fastened but the quick drying totally made up for that small drawback.

So many flaws!
I'm 5'2" 127 lbs with a super short torso and petite curvy build FYI>> Now let's get to it! I buy a LOT of hiking/camping/outdoor gear. Especially ExOff and a few other brands that I wear nonstop because a) I'm Queer and I like to be comfy b) I live in TX and I need all the protection from sun & skeeters. These are THE WORST fitting pants I believe I've ever bought from an outdoor company, and I've owned a previous pair of ExOfficio pants I bought in '93 and wore for 20 years. The pockets are set too far inward, so you can only fit your first 3 fingers! SRSLY? I have TINY hands. The waist dips super low in front, and that's saying a lot because I prefer short-waisted products - they usually hit my actual ridiculously boyish waist. But these were an epic fail on so many levels. I bought a 6P and they fit like a 2P!

Order your normal size
I have an older pair of Ex Officio convertible Insect Shield pants have higher waist and elastic in the waist. I am a straight shape and needed a size larger than usual in those. Unfortunately, these Amparios run true to size for us with a straight waist. I love the look and the protection, but I plan to insert a drawstring to make these work for me. They are too big as is. Wore them hiking this weekend, used safety pins to narrow the waist!

These pants are very stylish and practical. The leg zip pocket was perfect for my small change purse while traveling in Panama, and they are very lightweight which is a big plus when trying to travel light. Thank you for making Petite sizing!

Not as expected
Have been looking for another pair of convertible pants (already own Ziwa convertible pants) as I wanted something different than what I had. Very disappointed in the fit and style. The front pockets do not lay flat and the rise is a bit low for me. Wish I would have purchased several additional pairs of Ziwa convertible pants when they were available. Any chance you can bring them back, they were a perfect fit!

Disappointing
I love my ExO Ziwa pants (model before this) and tried the Ampario. Other reviewers were spot-on, it's trimmer. I loved the color asphalt. But, the main zipper kept sliding down during the day. Also, there's no overlapping material at the convertible zippers so that's on view and looks sloppy.Definitely being returned.

Terrible front pockets
I am returning these pants, mainly because of the front pockets. They are way too shallow to hold anything securely while hiking and end up just being a waste of material. The opening of the pockets also don't sit well and are gaping open on me. Otherwise, the pants seem fine. I like the zippers on the legs and there's no rubbing against my skin. My search for convertible pants continues...

Not as baggy as they use to be
Yes, they are more stylish due to the closer fit, but do you really want tighter pants in the jungle? Me, not so much. I have several older versions of this pant, same size, but this pair is a bit tighter. They look better but in the steamy hot jungle they are more uncomfortable. I want breathing room. Please return to the baggier style.
