Strongly Recommend, But...
I have happily worn Ex Officio Sport Mesh 6" boxer briefs in size Large for several years. They're comfortable, wick and dry fast (even on long hikes), and they don't stink. But since I have a very low rise (distance from crotch to waist), they never provided much support. On a couple of my older pairs, the waistband was getting a bit baggy and I'd recently dropped a few pounds, which put me on the low end of the range for size Large. So I tried on a pair of Medium sized boxer briefs and was blown away by the increased support. The Medium waist is a bit tighter, but the overall fit, leg circumference and especially the rise is MUCH better for me than size Large. So I strongly recommend Sport Mesh 6" boxer briefs, but if you have a low rise and you're on the low end of a size range, consider sizing down for increased support.

won’t Hike without Em
These are an awesome new edition to my base hiking gear. They stand up to all the challenges of backpacking, survived a 4 day excursion of sweat, swimming, and scrambles. I’ve since purchased 4 more and shared this with friends on the trail.

I am disappointed as the cut is different from previous purchases. There is less room at the bottom making it uncomfortable. What had been perfect over 10 years of purchases is now unwearable.

Hello, as per your inquiry we recommend using a washing machine without an agitator. Wash and dry like items only, do not dry with towels or heavy clothing. Wash with low heat on delicate cycle with a detergent that is free and clear of dyes and perfumes. Hang dry or tumble dry on low. If traveling, wash with soap in a sink or bathtub and wring it out. Lay underwear flat on a dry towel, roll the towel up and squeeze to absorb the water. Hang underwear to dry in a well-ventilated area.
