Rated 1 out of 5 by from Low quality and flimsy After 8+ years it was time to replace my original Bugsaway cap in Light Khaki. I liked it so much I ordered the same one again, or so I thought. The brim is shorter (the original had 5 rows of stiches the new one has 4) the material is lighter and flimsy, the depth of the cap is shallower so it doesn't fit as snug and the shade of Light Khaki is darker, almost olive (the color in the picture is not accurate). My original was comfortable, robust and the longer brim kept the sun out of my eyes. The new version is a cheap copy. I am very disappointed and regret this purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good coverage I have not been able to note the bug repellent properties, still get a swarm of gnats near my face, but maybe the hat shouldn’t be expected to protect from this. It is a generously sized cap with a nice large bill that is great for sun protection.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Lid Good looking hat, especially the color. Fits well. Very functional - I look forward to seeing if it actually repels bugs. The tie to prevent the hat from blowing away works nicely. A little on the warmish side. And, the sun drape is somewhat tedious to fold into hat. Overall good purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Tick Repellent I have this hat in 2 colors. Love it!! We have a deck under the trees by a large brook. I have found dead ticks under me that I know fell from the tree above me. Never a mosquito bite anywhere near my neck or face. BugsAway is great stuff. I own 5 pieces of it now.
