Product Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice vest Nice features. Packs small. Really like how it converts to a pillow when packed. Sizes run large. I usually wear an XL, ordered a L and it is almost too big.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots of warmth with little volume. Bought this vest because I wanted something that was light, was not bulky in volume, and was PRIMALOFT (or the like... just not down-filled) for layering and use during XC and snow shoeing, as well as fly fishing. Have a couple down vests that I use but they hold perspiration and are slow to dry (and I was also getting tired of the static cling of pull-out down fibres hanging on to dark underlayers, like on hi-tech fabric shirts, when I would use them). So, I opted for this one on sale since I wasn't sure how well it would work. The vest is super warm and comfortable. Great for layering and mobility. While one reviewer said the back length was long in the tail, I feel it is fine. [I have a shorter down vest and when you sit, it pulls up exposing lower back and tail, which is not very comfortable in cold settings.] That being said, though, this vest may stick out a little under the back of a shorter jacket. Considering how most people dress these days, I don't think that is an issue. Size L, which I would normally buy, is just right for me. Based on how the L fits me - at 6'0" and 195 lbs - I think a M would be tight/small and an XL would be huge. External and internal pockets, zippers, and lower cinch pulls are nice features that are a great bonus. Like other clothing which has this type of nylon-ripstop outer shell fabric, it does show oily stains which might be difficult to get out, unfortunately. Regardless, I would definitely buy again. The style and quilting pattern are "growing" on me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than Expected Got the vest for travel and wasn't keen on the idea of a "down" vest. But I was surprised. This vest is perfect. Light weight, warm, well made, serviceable, etc. The vest is better than I had hoped for. It impressed me enough that now I am going to shop at ExOfficio first when I need similar items.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Effective Great price on a Primaloft vest. Fantastic warmth:weight ratio; lots of pockets & features are a bonus. Only issue is length--a little longer than anticipated, but nothing that's a show-stopper. Overall, would buy again in a heartbeat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just what I wanted. Great vest. I had an old Mountain Hardwear I needed to replace so I did a bit of research and found this vest at a discount price! All of the pockets and the light weight made it appealing. The fit is perfect but... I had forwarning about it being large for the size ordered. I wear a 2x and ordered an XL and it fit to my liking. The length and girth was great for me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Vest I have been eyeing and researching this vest for a few years. I recently made the plunge and finally purchased it at a discounted price. It has amazing features and is really warm. I love all the pockets and it is perfect for the minimalist who wants to stay warm that can be worn on cooler nights but not get too HOT and still have a travel pillow. I would've gave it all 5 stars if the cut was a little more fitted. I am 5'9 and 157lbs and the SMALL feels too big for me still. It's great if you want to layer a whole lot but it is still really big for a SMALL. :-/
