On the small side of size 30
Having purchased just last year a size 30 pair of Bugs Away pants, I again ordered the same size in a different style and found it to be much smaller and shorter. Luckily, they fit, though barely. If you are marginally size 30, you might benefit from sizing up. Last years' Bugs Away pants were vented, having a 'screen' of fiber in the inner sides of the legs to allow for air circulation if the legs are not together? They had five pockets including a side pocket with a zipper that would accommodate my cell phone even with its cover on. This years' pants have only four pockets and although a back pocket has a hidden zipper, one does not want to sit on their cell phone so perhaps the zipper is only there to secure a wallet?

Great fit
I bought 32" in short length. The pants is well made and a great fit. The material is soft and stretchy. I have hiked about 50 miles so far and found it to be very comfortable. I have not had a chance to test bugaway feature. I wish that at least one of back pockets is zipped or buttoned so that I feel more secure to keep my wallet there. Front pockets could also be deeper so my keys or cell phone would be more secure there.

run small
These pants were about 4 sizes smaller in the waist than my other exofficio pants and also an inch or two shorter. They don't fit me at all. Also the front pockets are super shallow. If the pockets were deeper I would try a different size, but I cannot use pants with such shallow pockets.
