Products found on sale on the web
site are prior season's apparel and discontinued items. ExOfficio will
never sell a ‘factory second’ or
‘defective’ product to its customers.
Clothing marked for sale on our
web site are at 20% - 50% off the suggested retail price. Prices shown
on sale apply to those products only. These prices are not transferable
to the same or similar products found on the web site, nor are they
transferable to any retail location.
No price adjustments can be made
to any sale product purchase at any time. ExOfficio reserves the right
to change sale prices at any time which, may result in a lower price
appearing for the same product at a later date.
Quantities are limited to stock
on hand. Adding a product to your bag does not guarantee its
availability. Product availability is updated at the check out stage so
another shopper may have selected the same item and proceeded through
the check out process prior to your completing a purchase. In other
words - don't hesitate to buy something (and check out) when you see an
item you want.
Unfortunately, ExOfficio is
unable to offer backorders or special orders on any product found on
sale.
Why
do you use cookies, and what are they?
Cookies are small bits of computer code stored on your computer.
ExOfficio uses cookies as a means to conduct commerce and anonymously
count visits to our site. No one besides ExOfficio can retrieve the
cookies we set.
There are some concerns in
various Internet circles that deal with cookies and privacy. Our use of
cookies in no way affects your privacy. We don't know who you are
unless you tell us to place an order or a catalog request and even then
no private information is stored in your cookie.
Will
my credit card and address information be secure?
You can be confident that your credit card and personal information
will be protected when you shop online with ExOfficio. We use Secure
Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to assure the safety of your order. When
you place an order, your information is encrypted as it travels the
Internet. In addition, once this information reaches ExOfficio, it is
NEVER stored online; it is re-encrypted, transmitted through a secure
line, and stored off-line.
Can
I place an order to be shipped outside the United States?
Due to current issues with our international shipping provider,
international orders, including orders to Canada and U.S. Territories,
are not currently available. We are working on a solution to reinstate
our international shipping options.
ExOfficio has distributers around
the world. For list of international dealers near you check out our Dealer

Why do you charge sales tax on internet
purchases from some states, but not all?
Sales tax will only be included on product orders shipped to AZ, CA,
CO, CT, FL, GA, HI, IA, IL, MD, MA, MI, MN, NJ, NV, NY, NC, OH, PA, TX,
UT, VA, and WA. Sales tax is collected on purchased goods as well as
shipping and handling fees in these states.
ExOfficio has always complied
with sales tax laws based upon the issue of "nexus" from the court case
Quill v. North Dakota, 504 U.S. 298 (1992). This ruling states that if
a company has substantial nexus, a physical presence, within a state,
it must collect and remit sales tax to that state on all taxable sales
and consumption transactions.
Regardless of how our company
receives an order, either by mail, telephone, fax, or via the internet,
ExOfficio is charged with the responsibility of collecting and
remitting sales tax to those states in which nexus exist. The federal
moratorium established by the "The Internet Tax Freedom Act"
(P.L.105-277) does not relieve our company of this responsibility.
If you still have any unresolved
issues, please feel free to contact our customer service department,
and we will provide you with any additional information that might help
to resolve this matter to your satisfaction.
I
purchased ExOfficio at a retail store. Can I return/exchange it
directly with you?
Please make returns or exchanges directly with the retail store you
originally purchased the product from. Returns originally purchased at our
Sea-Tac Airport store can be sent using the Return/Exchange
form. Please print the form and include it in your return
package following the instructions on the form.
What
are ExOfficio's ethical procedures for outsourcing?
Ex Officio also understands the power we have to influence working
conditions of the people who make our products. Since they are
literally made all over the world, we carefully monitor the environment
in which these people work.
We only put work in factories
that we have visited in person. We seek out factories that have a
reputation for fairness and community building. We look for long-term
relationships and not one season deals. We discuss our codes of conduct
with the factory leaders and require that they be signed before we will
place production.
We continually visit our
factories to be sure that economic, social and political changes have
not altered their agreement to abide by the code. We contract the
factories through agents who are familiar with the host culture and
laws. They are responsible for monitoring factory compliance with our
codes in our absence.
Excerpt from Ex Officio Code of
Conduct:
(Child Labor) - The use of child labor is not permissible. ExOfficio
will not utilize partners who use child labor in any of their
facilities. ExOfficio selected factories maintain official
documentation for every worker that verifies the worker's date of birth.
(Forced Labor) - Factories will
not utilize any form of forced labor - prison, indentured, involuntary,
bonded or otherwise - in contracting relationships in the manufacturing
and finishing of ExOfficio products.
