	Founded	September 1, 1986 in Seattle, Washington, as De Sar, Inc.

	History	In 1988, the Ex Officio brand label was introduced. In April 2007, Jarden acquired ExOfficio. Jarden is a leading provider of niche consumer products used in and around the home, and ExOfficio falls under their outdoor solutions. 	Employees	The corporate headquarters in Tukwila, Washington has 45 employees. Our retail stores have a staff of roughly 15. There are also about 12 independent sales representatives for ExOfficio.

	Distribution	ExOfficio distributes its products in the United States to over 600 specialty outdoor, travel, fly-fishing, and luggage retailers. There are currently 3 ExOfficio branded retail stores. ExOfficio also sells in the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada and Japan.
